How I knew Watermark was the place for me

I knew Watermark was the place for me the first time I sat down with Mark and Heidi. They made me feel as if I was part of the team from the very first moment I met them. The culture at Watermark is one of kindness, respect, trust and an overall support for your personal and professional growth. The way that Watermark gives back to their community is very inspiring. I am looking forward to exploring this volunteering opportunity that has been given to me. Every day I come to work, my decision to join the Watermark team is reinforced by the interaction that I have with my fellow colleagues and partners. They are very welcoming and encouraging where everyone supports each other for the overall good of the company.

Favorite aspect of what I do

As a part of the Accounting and Process Solutions Group (APS), I am constantly challenged with new opportunities to learn. I love meeting different clients and learning about their business. I enjoy sharing the knowledge that I have gained throughout my years in public accounting and industry. It is rewarding at the end of the day to feel that you have made an impact in someone’s day-to-day life. Accounting is like a maze to me. There are several twists and turns that you need to make and you may have to turn around and try again, but in the end when you solve the problem you feel successful and rewarded as you would if you found your way out of a maze.

What inspires me, or what am I passionate about

I am inspired by my kids. I love the way they go about solving problems and looking at the world. Listening to their views causes me to pause and consider different aspects that I may have never considered before. They are wise beyond their years and inspire me to be a better person every day.

When I’m not at work I’m probably…

When I’m not at the office, I am probably doing a class at the gym or running. On a nice day, I love to sit by the pool with a great book. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and dogs. I’m always up for a good movie or binge watching one of my shows.
