How I knew Watermark was the place for me

I knew that Watermark would be a good fit for me after talking with Mark, Kelly, and Michael during the interview process. In conversation with them I could tell that, regardless of what came of the interview, they all genuinely wanted to get to know me as an individual. After coming on board, I was happy to learn that this was not just true of them but was a culture that is carefully tended. I have never been made to feel hesitant about asking a question, and I am often encouraged to offer my opinion and suggestions.

Favorite aspect of what I do

As part of the CAS team, I need to learn about our clients’ business in detail. I enjoy learning the intricacies of businesses I am familiar with and being exposed to new business models which I have never heard of. While the types of tasks I perform are similar, every day has new scenarios, challenges, and puzzles to solve. All of this means that I am rarely bored and am constantly learning as new situations arise.

What inspires me, or what am I passionate about

I hold great admiration for the courage and tenacity it takes to run a successful business and getting to know small business owners who are making their dreams happen is rewarding. It motivates me to be a part of the process of these individuals’ success.

When I’m not at work I’m probably…

I enjoy being outdoors, whether that is walking with my wife, Bethany, or hunting and fishing. I also enjoy playing with our cats and have recently started dabbling in bread-making.
